En plein air is a French expression meaning “in the open air” which is a term used to descibe the act of painting outdoors.
Children will experience drawing and painting the landscape outdoors in natural light, just as the Impressionist artists did in the 19th Century.
At least two days of this camp will be held at The Crossings of Colonie located in Loudonville.
With its extraodinary views of meadows, wetlands, extensive wooded and wildflower areas and  a 3 acre pond,
this beautiful park is the perfect setting for students to paint the natural landscape.
Students will have the opportunity to showcase their art at the group Art Exhibition to be held at the end of the week!

Art Exhibitions

At the end of each art camp week, Performance School of the Arts will host an art exhibition displaying the artwork of the students who participated in the camp.
This is an exciting opportunity for students to showcase the art accomplishments they have achieved for family, friends and the community to enjoy.
